It is well known that PASE in IBM i is designed to run AIX programs on the IBM i operating system with little or no change. It is also a great place to run Open Source solutions too. In this session, I shall look at Open Source elements that are common to both AIX and IBM i, including Ansible, node.js, Python and more. Some are surprised to hear we can run those and other Open Source solutions natively in both AIX and IBM i, and so can get the benefits of these without having to involve Linux.
